Player Safety & Wellbeing
Gambling is entertainment. At 8jbet we are committed to making sure it stays that way — for every user, in every session, from Karachi to Peshawar. This page explains the tools, resources and policies we have in place to support responsible play.
Understanding the Basics
Responsible gambling means engaging with betting and casino games as a form of entertainment — not as a way to earn income, recover money already lost or escape from financial or personal problems. Every form of gambling, including sports betting on PSL matches, ICC tournaments and football, and every casino game, carries a house edge. Over time, the odds favour the operator. That is a mathematical certainty, not a matter of luck or strategy.
At 8jbet, we believe that transparency about these realities is a fundamental part of running a responsible platform. We publish bonus wagering requirements in full, display RTP percentages on casino games where available, and make player-protection tools easy to find and use — not buried in account settings.
Gambling should never feel like an obligation. If you are betting with money set aside for essentials — rent, groceries, school fees, utility bills — you are spending money you cannot afford to lose. That is one of the clearest warning signs that gambling has moved from entertainment into problematic territory.
Pakistan's Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 reflects local legal context. 8jbet does not claim government authorisation or endorsement from any Pakistani authority. Users must independently satisfy themselves as to the legal position applicable in their own circumstances. This page is not legal advice.
Built Into Your Account
All of the following tools are accessible directly from your 8jbet account settings. They are not hidden away — we have made them easy to find because we want players to actually use them.
Set a daily, weekly or monthly cap on the total amount you can deposit into your 8jbet account. Once a deposit limit is set, it takes effect immediately. Reducing a limit is immediate; increasing a limit is subject to a mandatory 24-hour cooling-off period before the increase comes into effect.
Set a maximum amount you are willing to lose within a defined period — daily, weekly or monthly. When your net losses in that period hit the limit you have set, further betting and gaming is automatically suspended until the period resets. Illustratively, a PKR 5,000 weekly loss limit means play pauses once you have lost PKR 5,000 in that week.
Set a session duration reminder so that you receive an alert after a specified period of play — for example, 30 minutes or one hour. The reminder is a prompt to pause, review your session and decide whether to continue. It does not automatically end the session, but it is designed to break automatic play patterns.
A cooling-off period temporarily suspends your account for a specified period of your choosing — 24 hours, 48 hours, one week or one month. During a cooling-off period you cannot log in, deposit or place bets. This is useful if you recognise that you need a short break but do not want permanent self-exclusion.
Self-exclusion is a longer-term tool. You can request self-exclusion from the Platform for a minimum period of six (6) months, or on a permanent basis. Once self-exclusion is active, your account is suspended, all marketing communications are stopped, and you cannot register a new account to circumvent the exclusion. See the self-exclusion section below for how to apply.
Reality check notifications appear at regular intervals during a gaming session to display time elapsed, net wins or losses in the current session, and the option to end the session or continue. These prompts are designed to counteract the distortion of time that can occur during extended play — a recognised factor in problem gambling behaviour.
Taking a Longer Break
Self-exclusion is the most powerful player-protection tool available on the Platform. It is designed for players who recognise that they need to stop gambling for an extended period — whether for financial, mental health, relationship or any other personal reason.
Self-exclusion at 8jbet is not a punishment or an inconvenience — it is a service we actively encourage any player to use whenever they feel it is the right choice. No questions asked, no minimum prior activity required.
During the self-exclusion period, your account balance (net of bonuses, subject to KYC) remains accessible for withdrawal. Contact support at [email protected] (plain text only) to confirm withdrawal of any remaining balance during exclusion.
Access your 8jbet account from your mobile or desktop browser. If you are unable to log in due to the urgency of your situation, proceed directly to Step 3 and contact support by email.
Within account settings, locate the Responsible Gambling section. From here you can access deposit limits, loss limits, cooling-off periods and the self-exclusion request form.
Select "Self-Exclusion" and choose your exclusion period: 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 years or permanent. If you choose permanent exclusion, it cannot be reversed. For time-limited exclusions, a minimum cooling-off period applies before reversal is permitted.
Confirm your self-exclusion request. Your account will be suspended within a short processing window. You will receive a confirmation to your registered email address (plain text confirmation only).
If you need immediate account suspension or are having difficulty accessing account settings, email [email protected] (plain text — not a clickable link) with the subject line "Self-Exclusion Request" and your registered username. Our team will action this as a priority.
Know the Warning Signs
Problem gambling can develop gradually. These warning signs are not a clinical diagnosis — they are prompts to pause and honestly reflect on your relationship with gambling.
After a losing session, you immediately feel the urge — or act on the urge — to bet more to recover what you lost. This is called chasing losses and is one of the most recognised warning signs of problem gambling.
Using money set aside for rent, groceries, bills, school fees or any essential expense to fund gambling — even temporarily, with the intention to "pay it back" — is a serious warning sign.
Concealing the amount of time or money spent gambling from family members, friends or colleagues, or feeling shame or defensiveness when the topic arises, indicates that gambling may be causing harm.
Progressively increasing stake sizes to achieve the same level of excitement — a pattern similar to tolerance in substance dependency — is associated with disordered gambling behaviour.
Missing family events, neglecting work commitments, withdrawing from social activities or spending less time on other interests because of gambling is a clear sign that gambling has become disproportionately dominant.
Using gambling as a primary coping mechanism for stress, anxiety, depression, boredom or loneliness — rather than as a form of entertainment — significantly increases the risk of developing a gambling problem.
Quick Self-Check
Honest reflection is the first step toward responsible gambling. Read each question below and answer honestly to yourself. If you answer "yes" to several of them, consider taking a break from gambling and speaking to a support professional.
This self-assessment is not a diagnostic tool. If you are concerned about your gambling behaviour, please seek professional support.

External Help & Support
8jbet's built-in tools are the first line of support — but they are not a substitute for professional help when gambling has become a serious problem. A number of international and regional support organisations exist specifically to help people experiencing gambling-related harm.
Pakistan does not currently have a widely established national problem gambling helpline. However, general mental health support is available through organisations such as the Umang helpline (0317-4288665 — please verify currency of this number directly) and the Rozan Counselling Helpline. For financial counselling, community organisations and legal aid services in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad may be able to assist.
International organisations with online resources accessible from Pakistan include Gamblers Anonymous (which operates an international fellowship model) and the GamCare information portal, which provides guidance on problem gambling regardless of geographical location. Contact details for these organisations are text-only references — please search for them directly in your browser.
A fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to solve their common problem with gambling and help others recover. Operates on a peer-support model globally. Search "Gamblers Anonymous" in your browser to find current contact details and online meeting schedules accessible from Pakistan.
GamCare provides information, advice and support for anyone affected by problem gambling. Their online resources — including a self-assessment tool and live chat support — are accessible internationally. Search "GamCare" for current website and chat availability.
Umang is a Pakistan-based mental health support service offering counselling and crisis support. While not a dedicated gambling helpline, gambling-related emotional and mental health distress falls within the scope of general mental health support. Verify current contact details directly before use.
Our platform support team can be reached at [email protected] (plain text — not a clickable link). For responsible gambling requests including self-exclusion, limit adjustments, account closure or referral to external support resources, please email with "Responsible Gambling" in the subject line. We treat these requests as priority.
For users in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan or Peshawar seeking financial counselling or mental health support related to gambling harm, legal aid centres, community health units and provincial social welfare departments may provide relevant referral services. Please search for services available in your specific city.
Adults Only — No Exceptions
The 8jbet Platform is strictly for adults who are 18 years of age or older — or the higher minimum age required by the operator's licence jurisdiction. There are no exceptions. Gambling by minors is not only prohibited by these Terms but is also associated with significantly elevated risk of developing problem gambling behaviours later in life.
Age verification is a mandatory step within the KYC process. Accounts where underage use is identified will be closed immediately, all pending bets voided and balances handled in accordance with applicable policies.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a young person under your care has accessed or registered on the 8jbet Platform, please contact us immediately at [email protected] (plain text only) with the account details. We will investigate and act promptly.
Play With Confidence
8jbet is built to be transparent, fair and responsive to user welfare. Explore our platform knowing the tools to stay in control are always within reach. If you ever need support, our team is available by email.
18+ only, or the higher minimum required by the operator/licence jurisdiction. Gambling carries financial risk. Local laws, including those in Pakistan, may restrict gambling. This page does not constitute legal or medical advice. If gambling is causing you harm, please use the self-exclusion tools described above and seek professional support.
